At last.. The fylin of bein free really rocks man. But well, freedom certainly dun come easy man.. After two months of sloggin wif assignments and den e exams, it's certainly time for a much-deserved break. E exams were well, let's not talk abt. it.. It's bad havin to do them once without havin to review upon them on e first day of e post-exam period.
*sigh. Had a course evaluation today.. Wif a couple of year ones, twos and threes. They brought up quite a few interestin pointers.. Like how e ppl cumin into e course shld be screened to ensure dat teachin children wld be solely based on passion and not becoz they canT go anywhere else. I mean, if so, wun it be rather devastatin if a teacher hates children but yet teach them? See e irony.. It's like letting ur cat be in the bird cage wif ur beloved canaries. It'll definitely affect e children in their development.. And also, tarnish e reputation dat we 'Made in Ngee Ann Poly' preschool-teachers-to-be are tryin to establish in tis vast field. So, it's pretty interestin to listen to ppl put forth their views, wif e hope of gettin smth out of tis 'conference'..
But well, no offence meant, but i really find some of these feedbacks rather naive. They reek of the word 'individualism'.. They only tink of 'why is there so much assignments?', 'why do we haf such long breaks in between lessons?', etc. I mean please, y dun u all put urselves into e shoes of ppl in charge of e timetable? U tink it's such an easy job schedulin time for certain lessons for so many ppl? Y dun u go and try it? Tsk tsk.. E arrogance of human now. Everythin shld be done to suit them.. Or else they'll juz shoot their mouths off.
But well, e one feedback dat really irks me is e one regardin james.. Everyone is complainin how borin a lecturer is, that wat he teaches durin lectures doesnT come out for e exams. Hmm.. But seriously, do they even listen in e first place? Yes, i know u're gonna open ur mouth and argue wif me statin dat he's such a bore and it's such a chore to listen to him.. But reflect. It all boils down to attitude doesnT it? If u dun like e lecturer and find wat he say is like an old dronin tape-recorder, it's normally e case dat we juz totally shut off.. Dat i agree. For i'm oso aware of dat weakness in me.. But do i go around durin 'conferences' commentin abt. e lecturers? Tis is a difference between puttin a limit to thins and juz totally actin to ur needs.. Hot words never resulted in cool judegements. Back to james and him not teachin wat is supposed to come out for exams.. Tis can be true for some parts, he juz simply ask us to memorize chunks of e notes and juz somehow throw it up on e exam paper. But for e nutrients part.. Be fair to him, some pointers in which he stated was essential in aidin us to understand more abt. nutrients. Anybody listen? Very few.. Hence, bringin abt. e complain dat his paper ainT link to wat he teaches. And anyway, does everythin revolves around e word 'exams'? Okiez.. Put it tis way, wld dere even be CHN if it is deemed as useless and redundant for tis course? Wif dat qn. in mind, now let's look at it again.. Wat james teach durin lectures are a general basis of Health and Nutrition. The aim; to help us more when we're really teachers.. So, wld u deem it as more impt. dat he teaches wat e exam will come out but nt lay e foundation to dat Health and Nutrition? Tis wld be a case of lookin at short-term goals but nt lookin beyond ur doorstep.. So wat if u top e module now but is as ignorant abt. e nutrients and all as a 5 year old?
Haiz.. Forget it. Tis entry is gonna stir so much problems.. But well, so be it.
